This strangely fascinating series of installation works by Loren Schwerd is inspired by a love seat Schwerd discovered in a dumpster.

The ‘Loveseats’ collection looks to explore relationships, in both a metaphorical and paradoxical sense. The black heart has a certain romantic quality that symbolizes unity.

Schwerd’s works include video, free standing sculpture, art installations, and wearable art. Much of her art utilizes human hair, wood and string.
