Eco Wrapping With Fabric
Furoshiki Uses Colored Cloth, Not Paper

By: rubberrepublic (Rookie) Dec 7, 08

Wrapping holiday presents just got greener. Recycle Now has released an instructional video for the art of Furoshiki gift wrapping.

Furoshiki gift wrapping uses folded swatches of fabric, not traditional wrapping paper. A series of knots replaces the usage of tape entirely, and the finished product is a sturdy attractively-packaged present. Since the gift wrap is made of cloth, it can be reused, and can even come from old linens or clothing.

In the Furoshiki gift wrapping video, a bevy of gifts of all sizes and shapes are wrapped, from simple books to wine bottles and chocolate boxes.
