Zipped-Up Boats

The Zipper Ship is Designed to Skim Across the Water

Japanese designer Yasuhiro Suzuki’s Zipper Ship resembles a giant floating zipper that opens up the water as travels along the sea. The boat is based on a small scale model that Suzuki built in 2004. Suzuki revealed his amazing creation after successfully tested it on a local pond.

The boat was exhibited at the Setouchi International Art Festival in Japan recently. The Zipper Ship is still undergoing sea trials and it will be allowed to carry passengers after the trial period is over.
