Indian designer Peter Alwin's 'The Snail' cooking device is one of the eight designs that reached the finals of the Electrolux Design Lab 2010 competition. 'The Snail' cooking device is a portable gadget based on magnetic induction processes and very ideal for congested modern kitchens.

Powered by high-density sugar crystal battery, which converts energy from sugar to heat up the coil, 'The Snail' cooking device also has auto sensors which can detect which temperatures to use for which foods.
