It seems to some extent that we all take breathing for granted. It’s easy to do. After all, we do it without even having to think about it.
It seems odd then that something like breathing should be the focus of a current trend. What’s even more interesting is that an indicator of that trend is popular music.
An examination of all popular songs over the last 30+ years entitled Breathe reveals that over 70 percent of those songs have been released in the last 10 years.
This is indicative of an awareness that we’re not breathing, we’re feeling a type of communal suffocation; and if we’re not breathing well, we’re hardly at our optimums.
Businesses would do well to focus on improving the means for breathing and relaxation.
After all, we all need to breathe…
