Designer Train Station Bathrooms

The Subway 2.0 Collection is Inspired by Public Potties

The Subway 2.0 collection is perhaps the first set of bathroom furniture purposefully designed to look like a public restroom. This modern set of bathroom furnishings was designed by Villeroy & Boch, and is meant to mimic the look and functionality of a subway's bathroom.

Not all subway bathrooms are created equally, and thankfully Villeroy & Boch understands this. The mirrors and sinks in the Subway 2.0 collection are not covered in grime or graffiti; rather they're meant to be convenient to clean and restock. On paper a bathroom inspired by public potties sounds terrible, but this collection is actually quite impressive. Typically the design of private furniture influences the design of furniture for the public, but it's nice to see things go the other way once in awhile.
