Bomb-Inspired Beer

Smashbomb Beer Has Been Deemed too Violent for Stores

Smashbomb Beer, also known as the Smashbomb Atomic IPA, has been rejected by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). No, it's not because it will cause any internal explosions or devasting, life-changing after effcets, but for social responsibility reasons. These reasons include the alleged inappropriateness of its name and its comic-like label which features a gaseous explosion over the top of a building.

There is also a caption, “Go Ahead. Drop the Bomb!,” that can be deemed overtly insensitive for this day and age. It has been such a hit in a London, ON bar that its stock ran dry and had to be re-ordered for this month. A server at that bar claims it is curiosity that makes customers try it, but the taste is what makes them go for seconds.
