The Sennheiser Eco-Vinyl Turntable is Made Using Cork and Bioplastic

Designer Matthew Lim has created an eco-friendly turntable for German audio company Sennheiser dubbed, appropriately enough, the Sennheiser Eco-Vinyl Turntable. The turntable and accompanying headphones are made using recyclable and sustainable materials.

The first thing you'll notice about the Sennheiser Eco-Vinyl Turntable is its cork platter. Cork makes up 10 percent of the turntable's design and 20 percent of the accompanying headphones. Other materials used include bioplastic, high-density fiberboard and aluminum. The turntable is designed to be used primarily by the youth who have grown up listening to music on CDs and MP3s and have never heard the sweet, sweet sound of vinyl music.
