Report Card Time For Teachers

It looks like teachers' performance may soon be graded based on the success of their students and the demonstrated results of their teaching ability, as part of a series of updates to the No Child Left Behind law. This is a much needed change that raises the bar on teaching standards and puts the onus on the teachers to do their jobs right.

Of course, there is opposition to this proposed change, but it seems likely that some form of annual evaluation of teachers performance directly tied to the progress of their students, is in order to ensure that top quality education is provided to children.
