Oil-Producing Eco-Towers

The Plastikoleum Tower Converts Plastic Waste into Crude Oil

Recycling plastic waste may become a thing of the past if the Plastikoleum Tower ever goes from concept to reality. The tower was designed by Land Art Generator Initiative to convert plastic waste into petroleum.

The Plastikoleum Tower was inspired by the plastic to oil converter invented by Akinori Ito. The converter is small, and Ito has been touring the world with it trying to get support for its use. The Plastikoleum Tower is a refined and expanded version of Ito's invention. It is designed to be self-sufficient, using solar panels to generate electricity. The tower would have an estimated oil output of 60 barrels an hour, which is big money when you figure that today's oil prices hover around $100 a barrel.

Making the planet a greener place and making thousands of dollars an hour is something every company would like to do. Hopefully the heavy-hitters of the energy and oil worlds take a long, hard look at the Plastikoleum Tower.
