Photographer Luc Braquet Captures Big City Cool in New York

Paris-based photographer Luc Braquet was an Art Director in an advertising agency when his love of fashion photography began to take hold of him. Now after a few years in the game, he has developed a unique aesthetic that has made helped his career take off, with regular trips to London and New York dotting his calendar.

As a photographer, Luc Braquet has a skill for portraying his subjects as alternatively mysterious, alluring, and untouchable. In his latest shoot, 'Over Broadway,' Braquet teamed with Jennifer of VNY Model Management for an editorial that is intensely sexual, and intensely organic.

My favorite shot in this Luc Braquet editorial is a black and white capture of Jennifer climbing up the ladder, staring down in a manner that is equal parts aloof and seductive. She is wearing a see-through shirt and her midriff is exposed. As a photographer, Luc Braquet excels at being able to draw sensuality out of a shot that typically wouldn't have it, and that bodes well for his future in fashion photography.
