The first frame focuses on the couple eating dinner, without interacting, wallowing in obvious contempt of one another. The second photograph depicts the husband sitting with strained expressions in the living room while the wife berates him. In the next frame, he is shown leaving the house to go see his mistress -- whom the viewer becomes acquainted with in the following photograph.
Later, Nikolaus Gruenwald depicts the couple sitting in the back of limousine, while the husband's mistress lustfully paws at the window. In the next frame, the wife is seen running frantically away from the car while her husband desperately chases after her.
