The new Chanel purse, called the ‘Chanel Classic Cage Flap Bag,’ is a handbag made to resemble a cage.

The handbags are part of the Spring 2013 collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld and are made of beaded wire stretched over a dainty metal frame. Each ornate bag comes with a custom Chanel double “c” logo in the front and metal chain handles.

The bags lack on function front as they are transparent and you are unable to store small items that can slip through the crevices of the cage; however, it is a fabulous find nonetheless. The Chanel Classic Cage Flap Bag comes with signature Chanel signage, an outlandish design and is an inclination of the endless possibilities in fashion design.

Karl Lagerfeld understands the need to be different and set handbags apart from one another. The new Chanel bag is no exception and one can only wait and see what he has in store for Chanel next.
