Goncalo Campos' Nata Lamp Breathes New Life into an Old Product

The Nata Lamp has a curious shape, one that reminds me of either an ornate vintage teacup or an ancient Greek pot. It is this curious shape that makes the Nata Lamp so appealing. It offers the perfect whimsical and feminine touch that any home could use, in small doses, of course.

Created by Portuguese designer Gonçalo Campos, the Nata Lamp is named after the Portuguese word for cream, which refers to both its pale white color and its classic dinnerware look. According to Plus Mood, the Nata Lamp is actually made from an old, discontinued shape that was found at a ceramics factory.

By breathing new life into this otherwise long lost product design, the Nata Lamp represents a whole range of unexplored opportunities in which old products are used for different purposes.
