Easy Injection Applicators
Medical Feather Makes Giving and Receiving Needles a Painless Process

{SummaryTitle}

Even the biggest, the strongest and the bravest will occasionally flinch at the feel and even the sight of a needle. But even though the doctors and nurses who administer them do it dozens of times each week, the concept of the Medical Feather offers a bit of peace of mind.

Adrian Borsoi’s invention is a handheld doppler ultrasound with an intuitive and very visual OLED touchscreen. To use it, you first insert a disposable thermal patch into the tip and then use the device to scan the patient’s arm for an area of easily accessible veins. The display tells the nurse when and where to apply the conical capsule, and this stays in place thanks to a handy adhesive backing. The Medical Feather’s job is now over, and its succeeded to provide the perfect entry point for an intravenous injection, just out of view from the patient’s angled gaze.
