As the 2012 DUMBO Arts Festival Open Studio Winner, Marci MacGuffie has created illustrations that leave the viewer breathless.

Each of her drawings combines the elegant and delicate beauty of the natural elements with the wild frenzy of life. Her works demonstrate that nothing is ever constant or static, and even in a quiet open field of flowers and grass, the sun is zooming through the sky, the wind is rushing through the leaves and foliage gets scattered all about. Looking at the energy and explosions of line and color throughout her latest collection, gives you a feeling of urgency and commotion that is the natural will to survive.
