Flowering Book Sculptures

Jacqueline Rush Lee Creates a Novel Form of Narrative

More than a few book sculptures have made it onto Trend Hunter, but I have to say that Jacqueline Rush Lee's work is one of the more impressive ones. At first glance you may think, "Surely, that cannot be the case." But it is, my skeptical friends. Just look at the details.

Creating intricate sculptures, Jacqueline Rush Lee explains that she has found herself "drawn to the intimate, tactile, and symbolic qualities of used books" for almost a decade. Yet by seeing beyond these qualities, she also redefines these existing works into what she calls "an alternative narrative."
