Every winter, stray mittens and gloves become lost and alone, never to see their other halves. The Green Thing Glove Love project tackles this problem with an innovative and fun approach to recycling lost and found mittens and gloves.
The Green Thing Glove Love project pairs up single gloves and mittens acquired from donations and lost and found boxes of last winter. After being washed and repaired as required, the enviro group Green Thing matches lone hand-warmers by size (not color) and label them with nametags and “letters of introduction,” according to Springwise. The matches are then sold to new owners, the profits from which will go to Green Thing Trust, a registered charity.
