Exercise in a Pill

Will GW1516 Work on People Too?

The secret to a fit body in the future may not rely in a good workout, but rather in a vial of GW1516. To put it more simply it's exercise in a pill.

Researchers have done experiments on rodents with the drug, leading to the creation of what the media has dubbed “mighty mice” from mouse potatoes.

“Sedentary mice that took the drug for four weeks burned more calories and had less fat than untreated mice,” Yahoo news reported. “And when tested on a treadmill, they could run about 44 per cent farther and 23 per cent longer than untreated mice.”

And remember, the placebo effect doesn't work on mice.

If GW1516 works the same way on humans, gym memberships might drop even more. Without sweating or exerting any type of energy, you could go from flab to fab while you laze on the couch watching Entourage.
