The Dossier Journal Spring/Summer 2012 photoshoot with model Sung Hee does an excellent job of reinterpreting the allure of classic 1990s looks. While Hee does emulate the grungy looks of the decades bands, with specific attention to groups like Nirvana and The Offspring, the infusion of Asian motifs into the set here has reinterpreted the iconic style.
This Dossier Journal production was spearheaded by photographer Kah Poon. Poon's background selection brought about the Asian ambiance, seen by way of Chinese lettering and branches of light pink cherry blossoms. And while these touches do evoke images of Eastern activity, Hee and Poon's incorporation of dyed blue and green tresses and kohl-hued lip liner confirmed the production's overarching 90s appeal.
