A lot of things are great in theory, but when put into practice, they fail. Just like Communism. But the good thing about Communism is that it gave us some very strange (and enlightening?) Communist-era store windows.
Capturing the advertisement and glammed free spaces, artist David Hlynsky captures what life was like without all the media noise. Although the lines for toilet paper were massive, these Communist-era store windows show a simpler/potentially dangerous time.
