Cleavage Typography

Karmaloop's Unnecessary Use of Lady Parts for Double ‘O's

I found this ad for internet retail venture Karmaloop using naughty typography on Hype Beast.

Karmaloop sells a lot of great products so I’m really not sure why they would need to gratuitously use a woman’s breasts in their typography, but then again, it is the internet, and there is the old rumor that people on the net like this stuff.

Implications - Largely due to its inherent shock value, sexvertising continues to have a prominent place in marketing. No consumer with a pair of eyes can ignore a blatant reference to sex, whether or not they are offended by the display, image or message. In a saturated marketplace, taking risks with sexual references may be one way a brand stands out from the crowd.
