Fusing their design and sculpting skills, the series presents ornate dolls that are both eerie and enticing at the same time. The project supports the idea of displaying collections via figurines rather than models, a notion that has yet to be accepted by the world's couturiers.

The Popovy Chevaliere series is incredibly detailed. Although the statues are short, they still manage to showcase some elegant pieces. A Victorian theme is also readily apparent as the lifelike caricatures feature tight corsets, veiled masks and exaggerated Marie-Antoinette-like hairdos.

The most notable aspect of this project is the idea of replacing the modeling industry. As this niche is frequently criticized for producing a culture prone to eating disorders, this alternative approach may be further endorsed in the future.
