GE's Brilliant Machines Campaign is a Clever Hoax

Last week, robot sightings were reported across the USA, and it turns out that it was part of a marketing campaign called 'Briliant Machines.'

It has now been revealed that GE was behind the stunts, which were a teaser for their new Brilliant Machines campaign that launched a commercial premiered during the Thanksgiving NFL game.

The ad features machines from past and present, including KITT from Knight Rider and Robbie the Robot from Forbidden planet to introduce the concept of the 'Industrial Internet' that GE is delivering, an open global network that connects machines, people and data.
