Grant Associates have released a design for the Bay South botanical preserve in Singapore. At 101 hectares, the Bay South botanical preserve will be Singapore’s largest garden project.
Super-tall tree structures wrapped in ferns, vines, and tropical flowers will double as vertical gardens which collect rain water and solar energy to sustain the garden and provide light. The Bay South botanical preserve also comprises two botanical biospheres. One will be a ‘cool moist’ biome with plants from the Cloud Forest while the other will be a ‘cool dry’ biome with Mediterranean plants.
