OMG I love the giant bow hat Aretha Franklin rocked when she sang the National Anthem at Obama’s inauguration. It would have been fantastic if the hat had been embellished with Obama diamante, but it was fabulous nonetheless.
The $179 hat, customized with Swarovski crystals, came from Mr. Song Millinery in Detroit.
I think anyone can confidentially predict that giant bow hats are going to be HUGE in 2009! Bows were, in fact, a somewhat unofficial theme for the ceremony which I found slightly odd.
I will leave the First Lady’s dress to Ayman, as I hated it (sorry).
