Alice Wang's 'Chairs of the Dysfunctional' Reflect our Society

Alice Wang's most current project is named “Chairs of the Dysfunctional,” and was created in response to the changing society we live in. She moved away from the practical side of chairs to the way we interact with them in her new line.

Wang recently sat down and talked about her unique approach to design and what motivates her creations. She thinks there is an emotional and psychological connection to everyday life and the objects we interact with, and hopes to reveal what she calls the “dark side” of those interactions we have with those objects.
