Engkey Robots are Taking Over South Korea's Classrooms & Schools

As yet another step towards a more technological future, South Korea has deployed 29 Engkey Robots to teach English to elementary school students in school classrooms.

This egg-shaped bot developed by the Korea Institute of Science of Technology stands 3.3 meters high with a TV screen displaying a human face. It putts around the room speaking to students, reading books and dancing to music. The robots are controlled remotely by English teachers in the Philippines. Could these Engkey Robots be the future of our children's education?
