Everyone around the world has been doing their part to make this world a better, greener place and New York City is certainly no exception. In the near future, around April 2011, New York will be debuting its eco-friendly Hornblower Hybrid Ferry, which will be used to transport approximately 600 passengers a day.
The ferry has been designed by Hornblower Cruises & Events using recycled materials, including glass countertops, LED lighting, LEED carpeting and non-toxic weather-proof paint. The Hornblower Hybrid Ferry will also be powered by hydrogen, solar and wind power.
