The Museo Subacuatico de Arte de Cancun Dives Deep for Art

Off the coast of Mexico, the Museo Subacuatico de Arte de Cancun is showcasing a series of underwater figures that can double up as artificial coral reefs. The eerie sculptures are intricately designed and carved and serve as a great tourist attraction.

The project is hoping to relieve the amount of tourists that cause pressure on other nearby reefs, and hopefully transport them to the new location. Show director Jaime Gonzales Cano of Isla Mujeres National Park worked closely with the president of Cancun Nautical Association Roberto Diaz Abraham to execute a very artistic and unique underwater exhibition.
