For the upcoming film ‘FUEL,’ which is the “unofficial sequel to 'An Inconvenient Truth'”, director Josh Tickell drove 3,750 miles in the Algaeus, which is a converted Prius hybrid that runs on a mixture of battery power and algae fused gasoline. According to Tickell, the eco-car got 147 miles per gallon in the city.
The Algaeus did less well on the highway (52 mpg), but is still an impressive symbol of green innovation. Be sure to check out the attached trailer for the movie ‘FUEL.’
