The Plantagon is dome-like structure that offers insight into the possible future of urban farming. It's being designed for downtown cores like Paris that are becoming more eco-conscious of the future and therefore undergoing plenty of green renovations.
We've touched on urban farming before (see related articles below), but so far the architecture was focused on roof-top gardens and vertical farms, essentially skyscrapers designed with the sole purpose of growing crops.
The Plantagon is a geodesic dome farm with an exterior shell made of glass which allows plenty of sunlight to come in to nourish the plants it houses.
