Nicolai Howalt's Accidental Art is Dark Yet Brilliant

These images may look more at home on the pages of a crash investigator's desk than on the wall of an art gallery, but they are, in fact, a series of art works from Danish artist Nicolai Howalt.

Much like real life car crashes, these images are unquestionably violent but also amazingly compelling. On the one hand, you really don't want to see the details like the shoe left on the passenger seat, but at the same time, you just cannot help yourself.

It's dark but brilliant.
