Brush Your Feet with Camilla Skovgaard Shoes

Hairy toes are a fashion faux pas, but high heels draped with hair are hot. Danish designer Camilla Skovgaard created the sexy black shoes and booties in the first and second photos, each enhanced with human hair. An equine lover, she first tried with horse hair but found it too stiff.

Skovgaard is not alone in the hairy/furry/feathery shoe movement. Pierre Hardy’s feather flourished shoes fit for a flapper are divine. Gianni Barbato’s fur clad boots, Balenciaga’s feather detailed dance heels and the hairy footwear from Sergio Rossi also hit the shaggy note spot on.
