The truly creative Pikene Bak Slottet visions shown here are the works of Martine Richter, Ida Disengrenda, Grethe Larsen, and Siri M Larsen. Their Oslo-based studio is where this beautiful but extremely diverse apparel is produced.
While one artist chooses to work along what is defined more as sculpture than attire, using materials like wool, silk and linen, another other chooses to work with hand-dyed yarn. The results of their visions are as pleasing as they are diverse.
Perhaps it has something to do with the northern latitude and the really cold winters, but it seems there are an unusual number of inspired fashions that find their way to us via Norway and Sweden. Pikene Bak Slottet is no exception.
