Dubai is the place for luxury vacationing and Palazzo Versace guests are in for a real treat. In a city where summer temperatures can go well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the Palazzo Versace will become the coolest luxury retreat as it will have a refrigerated beach to keep toes of guests cool on hot sand.
The swimming pool will also be refrigerated and proposals are pending to install wind machines to emulate a soft sea breeze.
The beach will stay cool thanks to a series of pipes filled with coolant below the sand. Controlled by computer-operated thermostats, this first-of-its-kind refrigerated beach gives Palazzo Versace a competitive edge over other luxury resorts in Dubai.
Palazzo Versace will be courting wealthy British tourists. Britons account for over 800,000 vacationers to Dubai annually.
