Recycling Outdated Technology

The Cassette Tape Closet

Do you still have cassette tapes kept in a box under your bed? Before you consider them as trash and start throwing them out, think twice. Try to think of how you can reuse them creatively, as Dutch designer Patrick Schuur has done.

Patrick Schuur created a cassette tape closet using a total of 918 cassette tapes. The closet, which is currently for sale on eBay, originally has a wooden frame onto which the cassette tapes are individually screwed. It has three doors and is big enough to be used as storage or a space divider either in your home or in the office.
