Recycled Balloon Furniture

The Balloona Stool

Some people like collecting rubber bands or string and keep rolling up their finds until they become large balls. Well, Natalie Kruch collected 500 deflated balloons, not rubber bands or string, and twisted and wrapped these balloons around a wooden stool.

Kruch is an emerging artist from Canada and this is her first work for Umbra. She has exhibited her work at the 2008 Milan Design Week's Salone Satellite. She likes the challenge of “making the ordinary both intriguing and beautiful.”
