Reverend Jeremiah Wright is making headlines again--this time, however, for his dalliance with married church worker Elizabeth Payne. The 37-year-old Payne began her affair with Wright while she was an executive assistant at a church headed by one of Wright's protégés, according to The New York Post.
Elizabeth Payne's husband, Fred Payne, filed for divorce as soon as he learned of the affair with Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Mr. Payne found e-mails between Elizabeth and Wright; in one of them, Rev. Wright claimed he would leave his wife for Elizabeth, to whom Wright has been married for over 20 years.
