Shoes That Look Like Origami

By Designer Marloes ten Bhomer

Just when you thought that shoe designs couldn't get more abstract, we introduce you to shoes that resemble!

Dutch designer Marloes ten Bhömer recently launched these futuristic looking shoes, which she called Couture Shoes, each resembling origami.

"Critically acclaimed designer Marloes ten Bhömer produces shoes that are both provocative and otherworldly. Her work fuses artistic and technological experiment in order to discover shoes anew," the designer's official site says.

She uses unique parts and techniques such as leather-mâché and using vegetable tanned leather and carbon fibre.

They are part of the collection show in the virtual show museum.

These shoes sure do look great, but extremely painful. No wonder the woman had to sit on the floor to take that photo!
