Always having to untangle wires can be a hassle, so designers Hao-Siang Min, Fu-Yuan Hsieh and Jung-Cheng Liu have created a solution called the 'Rotate Plug.' The minimalist revolutionary plugs prevent tangled wires through increased mobility. As the name suggests, the 'Rotate Plug' rotates to keep wires from bundling together into an unsolvable knot.
In addition to rotating, the plugs increase awareness of power usage through its on-plug power button. The glowing button lights up when power is running through it. Pressing the button shuts off the flow of power and conserves electricity.
The design was submitted as an entry in the 2013 iF Design award in the concept design category. Though it is only a concept, introducing this kind of functionality is the next natural evolution for plugs.
