Made creepier because of the sunny day (they seem like creatures that should only roam in the dead of the night), these costumed figures range from a classic sheet-draped ghost and cloth-wrapped mummy to a dapper red-nosed man and a wraith-like maiden.
Shot by photographer La Tanit Plana with art direction by Guim Tio Zarraluki, the From Canvas to Camera photo series is in line with their past work. Working again with makeup artist Ona Nefer, the painted faces are definitely part of their signature style. Nevertheless, the costumes and outdoor location give their collaborative work a more disturbing dimension.
