The circular face on a conventional analogue timepiece has been reworked to display the hour on a different sort of round surface in the Ring-Watcher by Ziran Zhao. The numbers 1 through 12 are represented around the side of a hoop, maintaining the familiar cyclical view in an out-of-the-ordinary way.
A black nickle alloy band defines the wrist-ready shape of the chronograph, embedded within a hard titanium alloy cuff. Colorful or monochrome numerals are evenly spaced around the accessory and a PMMA indicator marks the time. The little red pointer creates a visible line across the width of the wristwatch and shows the wearer the hour. With the Ring-Watcher by Ziran Zhao, the user can determine the minute based on the positioning of the dash between one number and the next.
