Dew-Covered Insect Photography

The David Chambon Water-Covered Bug Images are Magical

Photographer David Chambon has been collecting a series of phenomenal dew-covered insect photographs over the past couple of months. The photos feature a variety of close-up shots of some insects literally covered in tiny droplets of water.

How does one capture photographs like this? Chambon must have snuck up on these insects while they were resting in order to capture them in such a state. Each water drop creates an amazing effect on the insects that magnifies their beautiful colors.

Chambon has several more dew-covered photographs on his flickr page. My personal favorite has to be the dew-covered beetle, because the water droplets are so big compared to the size of its body.
