2012 is definitely the year for fans of superhero art as the Internet is currently oversaturated with awesome illustrations, but don’t let the fact that there’s a lot of it deter you from checking out Aurelie Scour’s badass typographic posters. Rather than rendering the likes of Captain America, Spider-Man, Batman and Superman by conventional means, she’s instead drawn their busts using phrases and words found in their respective Hollywood films. Not only do viewers get a visual treat, they can relive their movie experiences by reading these posters. It’s pretty ingenious if you ask me.
Aurelie Scour titled this collection ‘Superheroes in Typography.’ I’m most impressed by her Spider-Man poster as she replicated the cobweb design of his mask using very thin text.
