Timelapse Tradition Captures

The 'Five Year Photo' Project is the Same Photo, Different Year

A group of friends out at Copco Lake in California have gathered together every five years to recreate their 'Five Year Photo,' and the photo series has received a lot of attention.

What started out as a trip to a friend's cottage with a couple of buddies enjoying themselves by the lake, ended with a group photo of the five of them. This sparked an idea to recreate the same photo from 1982 every five years with the same guys, same cottage by the same fence.

This tradition has carried on now for almost 30 years, and it is interesting to monitor the small changes that occur in each of the different men. The use of the hat and the positions of each guy is the same and even a jar is used each time by the same person.
