The Alexis Persani 'Stone Street' Series Rocks

The Alexis Persani 'Stone Street' series provides some hip fashion to some unclad stone sculptures. The series was created by the Paris-based art director Alexis Persani in collaboration with photographer Leo Caillard. After the statues from the city streets and museums were photographed by Caillard, the next step was to have Persani use Photoshop to make some photomanipulations to digitally dress the male sculptures.

The addition of the chic ensembles had these nudes dressed to impressed. The series creates a juxtaposition between the ancient world of art and contemporary fashion. The statement that is made through this project is that the notion of art changes through time, and the Alexis Persani Stone Street series proves that nothing is truly set in stone.
