If you've ever wondered if you could make paint dance, then you must check out the Juan Pablo Gaviria ‘Liquid Music’ series. The series was shot by Colombian artist Juan Pablo Gaviria, who is the creative mind behind the interactive company 360 Digital. Gaviria was inspired what kind of movement would be created by music.
The project consisted of Gaviria creating a surface that paint would jump of off. By covering a loudspeaker with a balloon and then plugging an iPhone, and as Gaviria pressed play, a symphony of color began. This experiment in photography captured the unheard of, while notes of music flew in the air as the paint danced mid-motion. These captures allow Gaviria to present music in a way that allows the human eye to experience music.
