Fibrous Female Renderings

Marcin Kamieniak Illustrates Women Using a Myriad of Threadlike Lines

Digital art-making is still a relatively new practise in comparison to rendering techniques that are centuries or millennia old, and artists like Marcin Kamieniak are continuing to explore the possibilities of creating images using computers. Seen here is Kamieniak’s ‘Lowflow’ series, which uses flowing threadlike fibers intertwining with one another to form female figures.

The precision of the lines give these illustrations a very software-aided look, yet the chaos of having hundreds, if not thousands, of lines within any given composition gives these visuals an organic feel. If digital art continues to push boundaries in a similar manner to these impressive works, there are likely few who will complain.

Marcin Kamieniak is currently based in Warsaw, Poland. His portfolio is comprised of several series that try to tackle this emergent and magnetic art style.
