It will be a very sad day indeed when people start snapping photos like the ones found in the Surfrider Foundation campaign. The print ads were inspired by classic fishing photos of people jubilantly posing with their underwater prizes. In place of fishes, however, people proudly display disgusting garbage such as old rubber boots, plastic bottles and even an entire couch.

Conceived and executed by Y&R, an ad agency based in Paris, France, the Surfrider Foundation campaign is very eye-opening. It shows that if people don't start taking care of their surroundings, this is what the future can be. The ad campaign specifically promotes 'Beach Cleanup Days.'
